Ok we admit, we got sucked into a Mashable article for dog apps.

But it got us thinking what are dog owners using when it comes to Apps and their pets?

Her is a short list of our favorite Pets Apps we found.

ICAM

If you want to see what your dog is up to in real-time, iCam is the app to get. You can watch your canine friend remotely, just to make sure everything's all right. This is especially useful if you're leaving your dog home for the first time, you recently moved or you're traveling. Available on iOS and Android.

MapMyDogWalkWith MapMyDogwalk, you and your dog can get fit at the same time. You can log your walks, track your calories and map your favorite routes using GPS. The app also has sharing and geotagging features for photos and data. Available on iOS and Android.

Weather PuppyIt's useful to check the weather before you take your dog out for a walk, but Weather Puppy takes it to a new (and very cute) level. The app shows more than 100 dogs depending on the time and weather, and you can even add a pic of your own dog. Weather Puppy partners with non-profits and shelters across the U.S. Available on iOS and coming soon on Android. In the meantime, a good Android alternative is Weather Dog.

Pet Coach
Why You Need It: This app lets you talk to a vet, pet trainer, or whatever other pet professional you might need to talk to, anywhere, anytime. Is your pup looking chubby? Send a pet nutritionist a photo to find out if you need to get him onto a diet pronto. Also did I mention this app is free? It’s free. Link for Android users

BringFido
Why You Need It: BringFido allows you to find pet friendly hotels, restaurants, parks, beaches, and tons more. You can also book your hotel, look up their pet policy, and use filters to find the hotels that would best fit your dog. Super useful if you have a large dog, or are in a new town and want to grab dinner with your best furry friend.

PetDiary
Why You Need It: PetDiary is an easy, visual, way to monitor your dogs weight, medications, and whatever else comes to mind. You can also use it to jot down when your dog does something so adorable, you just want to remember it forever! Or at least until you get a new phone. Similar Android app here

BarkPost

Why You Need It: Get a virtual lick in the face every morning through the BarkPost pup alarm clock, as well as read and share the best dog content on the web!

Hope you enjoy  these apps. Send us a shout out on facebook adn tell us your favorite pet app!  https://www.facebook.com/easternsierrafeed/
